Pond Farm Pottery welcomed its June Artist in Residence, Ahimsa Timoteo Bodhrán. Ahimsa is a multimedia artist, organizer, educator, and the author of the poetry/photography chapbook, Archipiélagos. He is also the editor of the international queer Indigenous issue of Yellow Medicine Review and co-editor of the Native issue of Movement Research Performance Journal. He co-founded the world’s first transgender film festival, which became the San Francisco Transgender Film Festival, and organized the world’s first transgender Arab roundtable dialogue for Sinister Wisdom.

For his workshop event, Ahimsa read poetry and his friend Roger Kuhn played guitar and sang a few songs.  Both multimedia artists, who are also indigenous and queer, spoke of their connections to each other, their origins, identities and paths. They engaged in conversation that expanded with audience participation.  The event took place in the center of town at Russian River Books & Letters, and moved outdoors due to the heat.
